Reflecting on Passion Week. Looking Forward to Easter

Sunday in Review

This past Sunday was a powerful start to Passion Week, filled with worship, reflection, and fellowship. We celebrated Palm Sunday, remembering Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, a moment that revealed the unconventional nature of His kingdom.

Pastor Chris delivered a moving message from Luke 19, "The Unconventional Coronation of An Unconventional King." He reminded us that the Kingdom of God often appears "upside down" compared to the kingdoms of this world. While the people expected a worldly king, Jesus' reign is spiritual and eternal. If you missed the sermon or want to revisit it, you can listen on lhfellowship.com or our podcast. You can also watch the sermon on our YouTube channel.

We were also blessed to share in the Lord's Supper, reflecting on Luke's account of the first Communion in the Upper Room, a poignant reminder of Jesus' sacrifice.

A warm welcome to Carolyn Ashcraft, who joined in fellowship with Living Hope yesterday! Please join us in praying for her as she settles into our church family and feels at home.

This Sunday marked the beginning of Passion Week, a period of profound reflection on the final days of Jesus' earthly ministry. From His triumphant arrival to His betrayal, trial, crucifixion, and glorious resurrection, this week invites us to deeply contemplate the intensity of Christ's love. We encourage you to take time each day to reflect on these pivotal events as we anticipate the joy of Easter Sunday.

🙏🏻 PRAYER LIST

Please join us in lifting up the following individuals and families in prayer:

  • Ernie Taylor was admitted to the hospital Sunday evening for observation. He is meeting with doctors Monday to determine further treatments. Please remember he and the family in prayer. We will update as we learn more.

  • Michael Whisman, as he begins new experimental treatments for his cancer this week.

  • Carolyn Ashcraft, following the loss of her brother, Dougie. Pray for her and her family as they grieve and prepare for his funeral.

  • The Hillard family, who are grieving the loss of two family members in a recent car accident. May they find comfort and strength during this difficult time.

  • Our Easter Service this coming Sunday. Let's pray for Pastor Chris as he prepares to share the powerful message of the Gospel and the resurrection.
