While the calendar tells us we are in the second week of September—a time when our thoughts usually turn to crisp autumn air, sweaters, and pumpkin spice—the extended summer heat is certainly sticking around a bit longer! Despite the lingering warm weather, we hope you had a restful Labor Day yesterday. Even though this week is shortened by the holiday, it is packed with opportunities to connect and grow together. In this issue, you’ll find a wrap-up from our Sunday service, details on several midweek gatherings—including our Men’s and Women’s Bible studies and Senior Lunch—and exciting updates as we prepare for our big 25th Anniversary celebration on October 4th.

Weekend Wrap-Up

This past Sunday, we gathered as a church family for worship. There was a sweet spirit of fellowship and reverence for our Savior as we sang together. Pastor Chris began a month-long look at the subject of Spiritual Warfare, drawing from Ephesians 6. Focusing on verses 10–12, we were encouraged to understand our enemy well and to stand firm in our faith and the promised victory we have in Christ.

This Week at LHF

  • Tuesday at 6:30 PM — Women’s Bible Study

We are beginning a brand new study titled "Maintaining Peace & Joy In A Noisy World." All ladies are invited to join! Please bring your Bible and a notebook.

  • Wednesday at 10:00 AM — Senior Lunch

We will depart from the church at 10:00 AM to travel to Blue Licks State Park for lunch at their lodge. Please contact Susan Adkins if you have any questions. All are welcome for this special outing!

  • Friday at 7:00 AM — Men’s Bible Study

We’ll gather at Panera in Brannon Crossing for our weekly Bible study as we continue working our way through the book of Acts.
