LHF This Week: August 17-25, 2025 Edition

ree

Welcome to Another Edition of LHF This Week

For many families, the school year is back in full swing, and with it comes a return to a more predictable rhythm. This week, our church calendar is a little lighter, but there are some great things happening on the horizon.

Sunday Recap

This past Sunday, we enjoyed a sweet time of worship together. While a few families were traveling and some were home with illness, the spirit of worship was still strong. Our students did a wonderful job leading us, and Pastor Derek's message from Luke 19 was a powerful reminder that God's invitation to join His kingdom is open to everyone, but it's an invitation we must accept with urgency. We can't put off following Christ. If you missed the message, you can catch up on our website, YouTube channel, or podcast.

This Week

The only event on the calendar this week is our weekly Men's Bible Study on Friday. We've just started a new study in the book of Acts, so it's a great time to jump in and join the conversation. We meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Brannon Crossing Panera. We'd love to see you there!

Coming Up

  • Women's Bible Study will be next Tuesday, August 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

  • LHF Youth will have their monthly gathering on Wednesday, August 27, at Jamal and Brittany Rayan's house.

  • Kid's Party With The Pastors is on Saturday, September 6, at Pastor Chris' house! Kids from kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome. Children ages 3-4 are also welcome with a parent or guardian.

Prayer List

Please join us in lifting up the following people and groups in prayer:

  • Gill Family: Please pray for safe travels for Isaac, John, and their families as they head home from Pennsylvania.

  • Tayler Jacques: Tayler is pregnant and experienced some minor complications this week. Please pray for her as she will be under more focused monitoring.

  • Chris Neal: Please pray for Colleen Crabtree's brother-in-law, Chris, who is in hospice care.

  • Carolyn Ashcraft: Please pray for healing from a back injury.

  • Teachers & Students: Let's pray for a wonderful, successful, and safe school year for all our teachers and students.

  • Missionaries: This week, let's lift up our mission partners in Africa, India, Paraguay, and the Philippines. We are so grateful for their work.

Offering Opportunity

Pastor Chris mentioned on Sunday that we are in the process of looking for a new church van or bus. We are so grateful for the recent donations that have already come in to help with this effort. If you feel led to give toward this need, please write "van" in the memo line of your check. Thank you for your continued generosity!

See You Soon!

We pray you have a wonderful week! As you go about your week, we encourage you to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around you. If you have any prayer needs, please don't hesitate to reach out. God bless!
