Weekend Wrap-Up: Finding Confidence in God’s Power

This past Sunday, Pastor Derek led us through the first part of a powerful message series titled In Awe of An Awesome God, based on Psalm 27. The passage takes us back to a time when David was fleeing from Saul, a moment filled with danger and uncertainty. Instead of fear, David expressed unwavering confidence in God’s salvation, protection, and presence.

This message reminds us that even in challenging times, we can trust in God’s power and care. David’s assurance encourages us to hold fast to faith, knowing that God is always with us. Next Sunday, Pastor Derek will continue this series, diving deeper into the awe-inspiring nature of God.

Wednesday Evening: LHF Youth Gathering

• Time: 6:30 pm

• Location: Church

• Who: Middle and High School Students

• Details: Join us for pizza dinner and a fun game of Gaga Ball. It’s a great chance for young people to build friendships and grow in faith.

Friday Morning: Men’s Bible Study

• Time: 7:00 am

• Location: Panera, Brannon Crossing

• Who: All men are welcome

• Focus: We are studying the book of Acts, exploring the early church’s growth and challenges. This study offers a relaxed environment to learn and discuss scripture.

  
  

Grace Drive Block Party. This Saturday

• Time: 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

• Location: Grace Drive neighborhood

• What: We’re hosting a block party to celebrate and connect with our neighbors. Expect inflatables, food, music, and plenty of fun for all ages.

• Volunteers Needed: We need strong helpers to set up inflatables, chefs to prepare food, hospitality team members, and people to manage attractions. If you want to help, please reach out! We're asking setup crew to arrive at 10:30am.

  
  

Women’s Banquet Next Week: An Evening to Celebrate

Ladies, mark your calendars for our upcoming Women’s Banquet next Sunday, August 30th at 5:30pm. This event offers a special night of fine dining and entertainment, hosted by the men of LHF in honor of the women in our community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy great company, and celebrate the unique contributions of women.
