LHF This Week: Feb. 22 - Mar 1, 2026

Hello, March!

There’s something refreshing about turning the page to March. Even if a few snowflakes are still hanging around, the arrival of a new month reminds us that spring is not far away. Longer days, warmer sunshine, and fresh beginnings are on the horizon. In many ways, this season mirrors the hope we have in Christ—steady, certain, and always drawing us forward.

In this week’s edition, you’ll find a Sunday Worship wrap-up, reminders about upcoming events, links to our podcast and YouTube channel, this week’s prayer list, weekly Bible readings, and much more. Let’s take a look at what’s happening around Living Hope Fellowship.

Sunday Worship Recap

We gathered for worship on a snowy Sunday morning for the final Sunday of February, and it was a good day to be together in the Lord’s house.

Pastor Chris preached from Colossians 3:18–25, walking us through God’s design for the Christian home. We were reminded:

  • That the marriage relationship serves as a living metaphor for Christ and His Church, His bride.

  • What biblical submission truly means—not weakness, but a posture of trust and obedience to the Lord.

  • The husband’s call to sacrificial love—laying down his life for his wife just as Christ did for us.

  • That the home is the training ground where children learn what faithful, godly adulthood looks like.

It was both practical and deeply theological—reminding us that everyday family life is sacred ground.

We also enjoyed a sweet time of worship through song and shared testimonies of God’s goodness among us. If you missed the sermon, you can listen or watch anytime on our website, podcast platform, or YouTube channel.

Loving on Grace Drive 🍪

This Sunday, Pastor Derek shared an exciting opportunity for us to love our closest neighbors well.

On March 15 (after church), our Outreach Team will host a simple but meaningful local outreach event: Loving on Grace Drive.

Here’s the plan:

  • We’re looking for 20 people to bake a dozen cookies.

  • We’re looking for 20 pairs (individuals or families) to deliver those cookies to the 20 homes on Grace Drive.

  • Deliveries will happen on your way home from church.

The goal is simple: introduce ourselves, let them know we want to be good neighbors, and ask if there’s anything we can pray for.

As Pastor Derek said Sunday,

“The light that shines the farthest must shine brightly at home.”

Let’s shine brightly right here on Grace Drive. You can sign up to help this Sunday or through our event site.

Bible Reading This Week

Join us as we continue reading through the Bible together in 2026:

  • Mon, Feb 23: Numbers 1–2

  • Tue, Feb 24: Numbers 3–4

  • Wed, Feb 25: Numbers 5–6

  • Thu, Feb 26: Numbers 7

  • Fri, Feb 27: Numbers 8–10

  • Sat, Feb 28: Numbers 11–13

  • Sun, Mar 1: Numbers 14–15; Psalm 90

As we move into Numbers, we see God forming, organizing, and faithfully leading His people—even in the wilderness. A good reminder for us in every season.

Prayer List

Let’s faithfully lift up these needs together:

  • Archie Falin: Pray for continued strength and increased health.

  • Larry Chaney: Recovering from last week’s procedure.

  • Amber Hinkle: Awaiting neck surgery and navigating grief after the recent loss of her husband, Allen.

  • Katie Lesly: Teenager having surgery next week.

  • Mr. Leatherman: (Kevin Leatherman’s father, in Pennsylvania) in very poor health.

  • Koos Basson: Recovering from surgery in South Africa.

  • Pastor Chris & Don Flynn: Preparing for their upcoming mission trip to Paraguay in March.

  • Pastor Derek: Will be preaching in March—pray as he prepares and studies.

Thank you for being a praying church family.

Looking Ahead

As we step into March, may the nearness of spring remind us of the new life we have in Christ. Even while winter lingers, God is always at work beneath the surface—preparing growth we cannot yet see.

We’re grateful for the many opportunities ahead to gather, serve, pray, and grow together. We look forward to seeing you at Bible studies this week and, Lord willing, together again this Sunday for worship. Until then, may the Lord bless you, strengthen you, and fill your home with His peace.
