LHF This Week: July 12-19, 2026

Welcome to Mid-July!

We are officially in the thick of July, and summer is in absolute full swing! Between the exciting knockout stages of the World Cup keeping soccer fans on the edge of their seats, family vacations, and beautifully warm Kentucky days, there is no shortage of action right now. Even in the middle of a busy season, we love staying connected as a church family. Grab a cool drink and take a few moments to read through this week's issue to stay in the know about all the exciting things happening at LHF!

Weekend Wrap-Up: Resting in the Lord

We had a truly fantastic service this past Sunday! One of the highlights was praying over and officially sending off our youth group as they left for Summer Camp. We are thrilled to share that we are sending a massive group this year—31 campers and counselors in total! Let’s keep them covered in prayer all week long.

Pastor Chris also continued our Summer in the Psalms series, teaching from Psalm 37 on how to handle the wickedness we see in the world around us. He challenged us to stop obsessing over the actions of others and instead choose to personally live for the Lord. It was a powerful reminder of a truth we constantly need to practice: don't worry too much about what other people are doing. Keep your focus on your own walk with Christ, and trust the Lord to handle the rest.

  • Location: Rafferty's in Hamburg Pavilion. Come enjoy great food and even better fellowship!

• Tuesday, July 14 @ 6:30 PM – Women's Bible Study

  • Location: At the church (Front Foyer Classroom).

• Friday, July 17 @ 7:00 AM – Men's Bible Study

  • Location: Panera Bread (Brannon Crossing). Come grab breakfast as we dive into our study of Acts.

Ladies Daycrest Flower Farm Event

• When: Monday, July 20 @ 7:00 PM (Rain date: Tuesday, July 21 @ 7:00 PM)

• Where: Daycrest Flower Farm in Lancaster, KY

• Cost: $30.00

Praying for Our Teens at Camp

With 31 of our students and leaders away at camp this week, they need our prayer support! Please join us daily in lifting them up:

• Pray for their safety during travel and activities.

• Pray that they have an incredible, memorable time of fun and friendship.

• Most importantly, pray for spiritual awakening, breakthrough, and renewal in the hearts of our students. We want them to return home on fire for Jesus!

Looking Forward to Sunday

From sending our massive youth group off to camp and learning to rest in Psalm 37, to looking forward to senior lunches, bible studies, and next week’s flower farm outing, God is moving beautifully through our church! We can't wait to gather again next Sunday, July 19, to worship together and hear what else God has in store for our Summer in the Psalms series.
