Welcome
It's hard to believe we're already midway through July! The dog days of summer may be here, but they're certainly not slowing us down at LHF. We've got a lot going on, and we invite you to scroll through this newsletter to stay up to date on everything happening around the church!
Weekend Wrap-Up
We had a wonderful service on Sunday as we celebrated the goodness of our Savior together. Pastor Chris delivered a powerful message titled "Nobody Wants to Talk About Hell," taken from Luke 16, where Jesus shares the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus. Hell is probably one of the most "inconvenient truths" of all, yet it's vital that we wrestle with its reality. Christ spoke on this subject more than any other person in Scripture. If you missed the message, be sure to check it out on our website, podcast, or YouTube.
Our Africa Mission Team also gave a report on their recent trip during the service. Elizabeth Estes and Debbie Major have just returned from three weeks with our mission partners, Koos & Jenny Basson, in South Africa. Their testimony was incredibly powerful. Check out the video below to get a taste of how the trip went...
Kids Back From Camp!
Our Youth returned safe and sound on Friday from a fantastic week at Laurel Lake Baptist Association Camp in Corbin. They had so much fun that a little church bus trouble couldn't even dampen their spirits! Make plans to be at church next Sunday when all of our youth will give a report on their trip and how God impacted their lives. It's always one of our best services of the year, so don't miss it!
Interested in Outreach?
Yesterday during the service, Pastor Chris mentioned that we are looking to assemble a team of people interested in finding ways to increase our outreach impact within our community. If you have a burden for this, please text Pastor Chris at (859) 619-5583.
