Hello Summer!
We are officially in the middle of June, and we are absolutely loving summer here in Central Kentucky! Vacations are in full swing, and for those who love "the beautiful game," the World Cup is in action and bringing plenty of excitement. Whether you are traveling, cheering on your favorite soccer team, or just enjoying the sunshine, we hope you take a quick moment to catch up on everything happening in our church family this week.
Sunday Recap: The Fear of the Lord
This past Sunday, we welcomed Pastor Chris back from his recent travels! He kicked off a vital three-week series focused on the Fear of the Lord.
This topic often creates a bit of tension for us because God's nature is so deep and vast; it is incredibly easy to hone in on one side of His character while neglecting the other. While God is profoundly loving, kind, and compassionate, Scripture also reminds us that He is awesome, holy, and jealous. He invites us in intimately as His children, yet we are completely without defense outside of His grace.
Drawing from Psalm 34, Pastor Chris unpacked these two aspects of God's nature. He helped us understand that it is actually through a healthy fear of God that we can fully comprehend and appreciate His immense grace and compassion—you simply cannot fully enjoy one without the other!

One Team Returns, Another Team Leaves!
It has already been an incredibly busy and beautiful summer for missions at LHF.
We are thrilled to welcome home Brittany Rayan and Vivian Gill, who returned this past Sunday from their mission trip to Brazil! We are so grateful for their safe return and cannot wait to hear the full report of how God moved during their time there.
As one team arrives, another departs! On Monday, Rob Coffey and Elizabeth Estes took off for their mission trip to South Africa. Let’s commit to lifting Rob, Elizabeth, and the rest of the South Africa team up in prayer this week and next as they minister overseas.
Baby Bottle Blessings Sunday
Don't forget that Father's Day is Sunday which also means that it is final collection day for all those bottles we've been collecting for Assurance For Life Pregnancy Center. Bring a baby bottle filled with coins, cash or checks and help rasie funds for this very important ministry.
