LHF This Week: Mar. 8-15, 2026

Hello, Mid-March!

As we move deeper into March, we’re reminded how quickly seasons change. The days are growing longer, the weather is beginning to shift, and signs of new life are starting to appear around us. In the same way, God is always at work—quietly and faithfully shaping our hearts and drawing us closer to Him.

In this week’s edition, you’ll find a Sunday Worship recap, reminders about upcoming events, our continued Bible reading plan, and this week’s prayer list. Let’s take a look at what’s happening around Living Hope Fellowship.

Sunday Worship Recap

We had a wonderful time gathering together this Sunday to worship the Lord and open His Word. Pastor Derek continued our study through Colossians, preaching from Colossians 1:15–23.

The big idea of the message was clear:

Nothing and no one can come before or beside Jesus.

We were reminded of three important truths about who Jesus is:

  1. Jesus is God

  2. We were created by Jesus and for Jesus

  3. Jesus is redeeming creation

Pastor Derek also walked us through three powerful realities about Christ’s place in our lives:

  1. Jesus is first

  2. Jesus went first

  3. Jesus must be put first

To help us reflect personally, he left us with three important questions:

  • Is Jesus important, or is He truly first in my life?

  • What gets my first and my best?

  • Am I listening to and obeying Jesus?

It was a powerful reminder that Jesus is not meant to simply be part of our lives—He is meant to be the center of everything. If you missed the sermon, you can listen or watch anytime on our website, podcast platform, or YouTube channel.

Looking Ahead

As we continue walking through this season together, may we keep Jesus at the center of everything. When Christ truly comes first in our lives, our priorities, our worship, and our relationships all begin to fall into their proper place.

We look forward to seeing you this week and—Lord willing—together again next Sunday as we gather to worship.

Until then, may the Lord bless you, strengthen you, and fill your home with His peace.
