LHF This Week: Nov. 2-9, 2025 Edition

ree

Welcome to November! Can you believe it? Time flies, and we're so glad to share this new month with you. November around LHF is already full of special events and outreaches as we begin to turn our attention to the Holiday Season. In this issue, readers will find the usual weekend wrap-up, along with updates on what's happening this week and in the near future around the fellowship. You'll also find our prayer list as well as updates on the upcoming Bake Sale Missions Fundraiser.

Weekend Wrap-up: Called Out from the World

We had a wonderful time in church together this past Sunday. Our worship team always leads us faithfully in song, turning our hearts and attention to the grace, mercy, and majesty of our God and Savior. We had a special treat as Tim Walker brought the morning message from 1 John, looking at the sound warning against loving the world (its ways and service to the flesh). As believers, we have been called out from living like the world, even though we currently live in the world. Tim also looked at how temptation is all around us, with examples from Adam and Eve in the garden as well as King David. If you missed the message, you can catch it on our website, or on Facebook or YouTube.

First of the Month Is Always Busy...

This week, we have several meetings and studies taking place:

  • Tuesday at 6:30 PM: Our ladies will continue their Bible and book study at the church. All women are welcome and encouraged to attend!

  • Wednesday at 6:30 PM: It's our Kids' turn as we will have Girls to Women and Boys 2 Men at the church. Be on the lookout for text updates regarding individual plans for each group.

  • Thursday: It is our monthly day of unceasing prayer as we intercede as a church body for our city. If you would like to sign up for a prayer shift, please go to https://www.lhfellowship.com/prayerministry.

Got Questions? The Vision Is Clear!

The annual Vision Sunday gives us a chance each year to lay out the direction for ministry as well as look back on the previous year. It also provides a chance to have a "family discussion" together. If you have a question, please share that this week and we will be sure to answer them during our Elder panel discussion on Sunday! You can share those questions by texting or emailing Pastors Chris or Derek this week.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

This coming Sunday is our annual Vision Sunday and Fall Farm Party! However, if you're tracking the weather for the upcoming weekend, you'll see that it isn't pretty. That means that we are monitoring closely and are prepared to make some adjustments to our Fall Party plans should the weather not be suitable. Please be looking a little later this week for text updates regarding any change of plans. We will, however, have our Vision Service on Sunday morning regardless of any changes to the Farm Party.

  • Allen Hinkle: Cancer treatments
