LHF This Week: Sep. 14-21, 2025 Edition

ree

We hope your week is already off to a good start! As we step into a new week, we want to share a recap of our time together over the weekend, highlight some of the wonderful events happening in the coming days, and provide some prayer points for our church family and community. Take a look below to see what's happening at Living Hope Fellowship.

Weekend Worship Wrap-Up

After a long and heavy week, it was comforting to gather together to worship on Sunday. As always, our worship team led us faithfully as we lifted up the name of Jesus in song. It was also great to hear some testimonies of God's goodness as well as collectively coming together to lift up prayer needs to our Heavenly Father.

Pastor Chris looked at Luke 22, where we see Christ in the Upper Room with His disciples the night before His crucifixion. There, He celebrated the Passover with them and also instituted the Lord's Supper. As we observed the Lord's Supper together during the message, our hearts were drawn to the sacrifice of Christ for us so we could have eternal life through Him. It was truly a special time, calling us to reflect on all we have in Jesus.

If you missed the service, you can catch up on our Facebook, YouTube, or Website.

In the evening, we will celebrate together at our annual Farm Party at the home of Kerry & Debbie Major. More details will be shared as the event approaches.

This Week's Prayer List

  • Alan Hinkle: Cancer, Amber Hinkle's Husband, beginning experimental treatments soon

  • Travis Taylor & Family: Recent cancer diagnosis, friends of the Rayan Family

  • Our Nation & Community: Pray for healing and comfort for the Kirk family, the families of those injured and killed in this week's school shooting, those who witnessed the violence, and our nation to see the dangerous path it is on and find peace and unity in Christ.

Community Prayer Gathering

In response to the recent string of violence and tragic events of the past several weeks, culminating in a stark realization of the deep divide which exists in our nation and within our communities, the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists is holding a Central Kentucky Community Prayer Gathering Sunday, September 21, 6:30pm at Immanuel Baptist Church's Tates Creek Campus in Lexington.

This will be a time for the body of Christ to come together as one to call on the Heavenly Father for healing, hope, and peace in this time of tension and brokenness. All are invited to participate and attend. Pastors Chris and Derek will both be in attendance and invite all of LHF to be there as well if so led.

This week's newsletter is a reminder of the need for prayer, community, and hope, especially in difficult times. As a church family, we can lift one another up and be a light in our city. We hope you'll take some time to connect with us in prayer and fellowship this week. Have a blessed week!
