LHF This Week: Nov. 9-16, 2025 Edition

ree

The first snowflakes of the season are falling, bringing a fresh sense of anticipation as we move deeper into November. This week’s update from LHF is packed with exciting news and opportunities to get involved. We reflect on the highlights from our Annual Vision Sunday Service, introduce a new local outreach ministry, and share important calendar updates and prayer requests. Whether you’re a longtime member or new to our fellowship, there’s something here for everyone to engage with and support.

Vision Sunday Wrapup

Our Annual Vision Sunday is a special time for the LHF family to come together, celebrate God’s work among us, and look ahead to the coming year. This year’s gathering confirmed that LHF is in a strong and healthy place spiritually and as a community.

The Elders shared encouraging reports on growth and spiritual movement within the fellowship. We have seen new faces joining us and existing members deepening their faith. Our ministry is expanding through both missions abroad and outreach efforts right here at home.

Each Elder took time to discuss key areas of focus, what they call the “heartbeat” of our fellowship. These include discipleship opportunities, service roles, and ways to build community. Everyone at LHF can find a place to contribute and grow.

The 2026 budget was presented with transparency and care, reflecting our commitment to wise stewardship as we pursue these goals. We also enjoyed a video update from our missionaries, hearing firsthand about their work and the impact of our support.

This Vision Sunday was a reminder that we are a family moving forward together, united in purpose and faith.

New Local Outreach Opportunities

One of the most exciting announcements from Vision Sunday was the launch of a new local outreach ministry. LHF has partnered with Little Red Blessings Food Box, a ministry dedicated to providing food and essential items to those in need within our community.

Rita Bugg explained how the food box works: it is a simple but powerful way to offer immediate help to families facing hardship. The box is stocked with non-perishable food, hygiene products, and other staples that anyone can access at any time.

After the service, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially welcome this ministry into our fellowship’s outreach efforts. This partnership opens a new door for LHF to serve our neighbors in practical ways.

We encourage everyone to pray for the success and sustainability of this ministry. Volunteers are also needed to help keep the box stocked and to spread the word. Getting involved is a meaningful way to live out our faith through service.

Amy Holt shared an update on the Central Kentucky Toy Project, a Christmas ministry that provides toys and gifts to children in need. This project is a wonderful chance to bring joy and hope to families during the holiday season.

LHF members are invited to participate by donating toys or gifts and by volunteering at the distribution event on December 13th. This hands-on involvement is a great way to show love and care in a tangible way.

If you'd like to shop for toys online, we have created an amazon wish list which will direct you straight to items which have been requested by families. Click Here to be taken to the wish list or tap the QR Code in the image below.

If you want to help, consider selecting age-appropriate gifts or signing up to assist on the day of the event. Every contribution makes a difference in a child’s Christmas experience.
