LHF This Week, Aug. 31 - Sep. 7, 2025

ree

Hello LHF,

We hope you had a restful and enjoyable Labor Day. This week's newsletter is a day late due to the holiday, and it's packed with a recap of Sunday's service, upcoming fall events, and our weekly prayer list.

Weekend Wrap-up

Sunday’s worship service was full of grace and truth as we continued our journey through Luke's Gospel. In chapter 21, we encountered the remarkable story of a poor widow who earned Jesus’s high praise. While others were giving from their abundance, she gave all that she had, an amount that was likely far less than anyone else's. Jesus saw her heart, which was fully devoted to him, and he commended her for it. Her sacrifice offers a powerful lesson to us all about what it means to give with a whole heart.

If you weren't able to join us, you can still catch up on the message by visiting our website or YouTube channel, or by listening to the podcast.

Upcoming Events

  • Unceasing Prayer for Our City: This Thursday, we'll spend the day in unceasing prayer for Lexington and its communities. From 12 a.m. Thursday to 12 a.m. Friday, we encourage you to take time to pray for our city's schools, fire departments, police stations, leaders, and more. As Jeremiah teaches us, we are to "seek the good of the city." If you'd like to sign up for a prayer shift, you can find the form at lhfellowship.com/prayerministry.

  • Men's Study: Our men will continue their study of the book of Acts this Friday at 7 a.m. They meet at Panera Bread in Brannon Crossing, and all men are welcome to attend.

Party With The Pastors Rescheduled

Due to some scheduling conflicts, our Party With The Pastors event has been moved to September 27th. This change will allow more people to attend and give us time to make the event even more amazing! You can learn more about the event on the event tab of our website.
