LHF This Week: June 28 - July 5, 2026

Welcome to a brand-new issue of LHF This Week! We are stepping into an incredibly historic week as our nation prepares to celebrate America's 250th birthday this 4th of July. Whether you are planning a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks with family, or simply enjoying the long holiday weekend, we want to wish everyone a safe, joyful, and blessed Independence Day celebration. Around LHF, summer ministries are in full swing. In this week's issue, you'll find a wrap-up of this past Sunday's worship, several key mid-week calendar items, an exciting look at our upcoming mission focus for July, and our community prayer list.

Weekend Wrap-Up: A Truly Blessed Life

We had a wonderful service this past Sunday as we closed out the month of June. The intense weekend storms and local flooding certainly didn't dampen our church family's spirit of worship!

Pastor Chris concluded his three-week series, Walking in the Fear of the Lord, teaching out of Psalm 34. This week, we looked at how walking in a healthy, reverent fear of God directly leads to a truly blessed life. Scripture reminds us in numerous places that God actively "stores up" goodness and blessings for those who fear Him.

The greatest blessing of all is that God reveals Himself and His intimate nature to those who walk in fear and awe of Him. It was a powerful reminder that the relationship we are invited to have with our Creator is at its best when it is transformational rather than simply transactional. God isn't a vending machine; He is a loving Father who desires to transform our hearts from the inside out.

If you missed Sunday's sermon or want to rewatch the conclusion of this series, the full replay is available on our website and YouTube channel, or you can listen on the go via Google, Apple, or Spotify Podcasts.
