LHF This Week: May 25 - June 1, 2025

A Blessed Start to Memorial Day Weekend and a Look Ahead!

We kicked off this Memorial Day weekend with a wonderful service yesterday! A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated worship team for leading us so faithfully in worship. Pastor Derek delivered a powerful message from Luke 11:37-12:3, where Jesus, dining with the Pharisees, preached a convicting sermon on the dangers of hypocrisy. We were reminded that the word "hypocrite" originates from the Greek term for an actor or "one who wears a mask." Jesus calls us to a genuine faith, one that goes deeper than the surface. If you missed the service or would like to revisit the sermon, you can listen on our Website or watch it on our YouTube Channel. The entire service, including worship, is also available on our Facebook Page.

Remembering on Memorial Day

As we approach Memorial Day tomorrow, we take a moment to honor and express our deepest gratitude for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we cherish as a nation. Their selfless dedication is a profound example of what Jesus spoke of when He said, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (John 15:13).
