LHF This Week: Oct. 19-26, 2025

ree

Welcome, friends, to another edition of LHF This Week! The weather may be reminding us that we're settling firmly into the beautiful autumn season, complete with heavy winds and rain, but nothing could dampen the incredible warmth and fellowship we shared at LHF this past week. From special gatherings to a powerful worship service, we continue to see the Lord's goodness. In this issue, you'll find important reminders for events and gatherings coming up, details on our annual Missions Bake Sale fundraiser, this week's prayer list, and much more!

A Week of Fellowship

This past week was filled with two very special times of fellowship! On Tuesday, our Seniors gathered at the home of Royce and Rita Bugg for a fantastic lunch—the kind that truly can't be beat by any restaurant. The Buggs are always such outstanding hosts and demonstrate a deep heart of hospitality for our church family.

Then, on Saturday, our Men gathered at the church for their quarterly prayer breakfast. We had a great turnout of around 25 guys, who collectively put away countless pancakes and sausage! Pastor Chris also brought a great devotional on the importance of discipleship and investing in others' spiritual lives.

Sunday in Review

Our worship service this past Sunday wasn't hampered by the high winds and rain in any way! Despite the weather and a string of illness affecting several families, we had a good crowd gather for worship, including some exciting first-time guests. Pastor Derek preached from Luke 22 and 23, looking at the unjust way Jesus was tried and condemned. We looked through the examples of the Sanhedrin Court, Pilate, and Herod, and discussed some important lessons we must grasp regarding the way we treat the truth of Christ in our own hearts. If you weren't able to be there or want to review the message, you can do so at our Facebook or YouTube pages, or you can find audio of the message at our Website.

Thank You, Church

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we were blessed to honor Pastors Chris and Derek this weekend during the service! The entire church expresses deep gratitude for their selfless dedication and spiritual leadership. Pastors Chris and Derek want to share their sincere thanks for the incredible love and support they feel from the fellowship here at LHF. They are both genuinely excited to be leading the church forward and look forward to what God has in store for us.
