What a glorious weekend! It feels like Fall is officially here, and with the cooler temperatures came a much-needed Fall Break weekend for many students and families in our area—we hope you all had a restful and fun time. We kicked off the new month with a wonderful worship service on Sunday, and as we look ahead, we're excited for all the opportunities we have to gather, serve, and grow together. In this edition, you'll find a recap of Sunday, a look at an exciting event coming up this weekend, and our weekly prayer list.
Sunday Worship Wrap-up
We had a truly wonderful time together in our Sunday worship service. We are so grateful for all the gifted musicians and singers God has blessed LHF with, and we especially want to thank Rob Coffey for stepping in and doing a great job leading the worship team in Joel and Jamal's absence. It’s a beautiful reminder that there are so many at LHF who faithfully use their abilities to glorify the Lord!
Pastor Chris continued his sermon series in the Gospel of Luke, picking up in Luke 22 as he focused on Jesus praying to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before His crucifixion. Christ's incredible attitude of "Nevertheless, not my will, but yours," is a powerful example for all of us. As followers of the Lord, we are called to surrender our will to His and trust His heart to guide us to our God-given purpose in life. If you happened to miss the message, you can always catch up on Facebook, YouTube, or listen on our Website.
Women's Bible Study Tuesday
Our Women will continue their study through "Don't Look Back," on Tuesday evening beginning at 6:30pm at the church. We hope you can make it.
Boys Campout This Weekend!
Get ready for some adventure, guys! Our Boys 2 Men group will have their Fall Campout this weekend at Pastor Chris' house in Nicholasville.
We'll be doing all sorts of outdoor activities, including fishing, hiking, and a bonfire, as well as sharing some great food and fellowship. Everything will kick off around 6 p.m. this Friday!
Guys, please make sure you bring your sleeping bag and a pillow. If you plan to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible so we can make the proper plans for food and supplies. If you have any questions, please reach out to Don Flynn for more information!
