Welcome to LHF This Week
It's hard to believe we're already one full week into September. We've had some beautiful fall-like weather along with some much-needed rain. This time of year is always exciting at LHF with fall events, gatherings, and ministries in full swing. Take a moment to scroll through this week's newsletter to stay up-to-date on all the goings on at LHF.
Weekend Wrapup
This Sunday, we gathered for a great time of worship, encouragement, and fellowship. Our worship team led us faithfully as we sang praises together. Pastor Chris looked at Luke 21, where Jesus describes what things will be like in the end times. One thing we can know for sure about this subject is that we can't know everything! In this message, Pastor Chris encouraged us that the best thing we can do regarding the end times is simply to be ready. Be ready by knowing Jesus, serving Him every day, and trusting Him no matter what the days may hold.

Senior Lunch on Monday
Our seniors are invited to gather at Copper River in Nicholasville today, September 8, at 11:30 a.m. Copper River has great food, and we always find a way to have a wonderful time together. We hope to see you there! If you have questions or need a ride, reach out to Pastors Chris or Derek.
Ladies Start New Bible Study Tuesday
Our Women's Bible Study group will begin a new book this Tuesday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. They will be looking at "Don't Look Back" by Christine Caine. If you're still looking for a copy of the book, reach out to Rita Bugg or find it on Amazon. We hope to see you there!
Men's Bible Study
Guys, don't forget that we gather at Panera Bread in Brannon Crossing each Friday at 7 a.m. We are currently looking at the book of Acts together. All men are welcome to join us for this interesting study and time of fellowship.
Party with the Pastors
Hey kids! Don't miss the Party with the Pastors on September 27th. It's going to be an awesome day of worship, games, crafts, fishing, canoeing, and lots more! Make sure to register at the link below to reserve your spot, and tell your friends—the more, the merrier!
Youth Fall Hiking Adventure
Our LHF Youth will be taking to nature on Saturday, September 20th, for their annual fall hiking adventure. If you have any questions about this event, reach out to Jamal Rayan, Youth Pastor.
This Week's Prayer List
Carolyn Ashcraft: Continuing to deal with pain in her back and hip from a recent fall. Surgery will be scheduled soon.
Lee Whisman: Mike's brother, having more seizures. He needs our prayer.
Archie Falin: Should be having surgery soon.
Community Focus: This week, let's remember to pray for the many college students who have returned to our community for the fall semester. Pray that they would have a safe semester and that those far from God would be drawn to Him.
