It's Thanksgiving Week

As we approach the final week of November and prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, it is a special time to pause and reflect on the many blessings in our lives. This season invites us to embrace gratitude with a spirit of warmth and faith, recognizing the presence of God’s grace in our community and daily moments. We hope this issue of LHF This Week brings you encouragement and connection through our weekly wrap-up, calendar updates, announcements, prayer list, and more.

Weekly Wrap-up

This past week was filled with joyful fellowship and meaningful ministry. Our youth gathered for a Friendsgiving Meal on Wednesday, hosted by Joel and Lauren Rieber. It was a wonderful evening of sharing food, laughter, and friendship. These moments strengthen the bonds among our young people and remind us of the importance of community.

Our Little Red Blessings Box continues to be a light of hope and generosity. Since its dedication a few weeks ago, it has seen steady use by those in need. We are deeply thankful for everyone who has contributed by stocking the shelves or donating items. This ministry reflects the heart of our church—caring for others in practical ways.

Our November Bake Sale wrapped up yesterday with great success. The church lobby was filled with delicious baked goods and tempting treats, drawing many to support this Missions Fundraiser. We extend heartfelt thanks to all the bakers who shared their talents and to everyone who ordered and gave generously. Your support helps us extend God’s love beyond our walls.

Looking ahead, order forms for the December Bake Sale are now available. This sale will be perfectly timed for the Christmas season, offering an opportunity to share festive treats with family and friends while supporting our missions.

Worship Service Highlights

This Sunday’s worship service was a meaningful time of reflection and teaching. Pastor Chris preached from Luke 24:13-35, focusing on Christ’s appearance to the disciples on the road to Emmaus. The message reminded us that Christ is the key that unlocks all Scripture. When Christ becomes real in our lives, we cannot keep silent about the hope and love we have received. This passage encourages us to walk in faith and share the good news with others. As always, you can go back to hear the message at our website, or watch it on YouTube or Facebook.
